Cha Hae-In stands out for her striking beauty, with piercing gray eyes and elegantly bobbed blonde hair. Of modest stature, she has a slender figure and notable bust. During missions, she often wears a flamboyant red armor and skillfully wields a black sword with a silver guard. When her powers awaken, her pupils shine with a bright yellow hue, revealing her exceptional potential.
Personality
Blessed with a calm, thoughtful, and serious temperament, Hae-In is renowned for her rigor and exemplary discipline. During raids, she meticulously ensures the safety of miners and carriers, protecting them from danger. Passionate about fencing, she tirelessly refines her swordsmanship—even years after achieving the prestigious S rank. From their first meeting, her intuition told her there was something exceptional about Sung Jinwoo.
Unlike many top-ranked hunters, Hae-In shows great humility and respects all hunters, regardless of their rank. However, she is often reserved outside missions and lacks social ease, maintaining few close friendships. She is visibly embarrassed, especially when Jinwoo gently teases her about awkward moments.
Background
Before embracing the hunter's path, Cha Hae-In excelled in elite sports but had to give up her career due to a severe ankle injury. After retiring from sports, she developed awakened abilities, joining the Hunters Guild, where she became the ninth Korean to reach S rank and assumed the vice president role.
Her graceful and fluid combat movements earned her the nickname "The Dancer" within the guild. However, she found the sobriquet embarrassing and forbade colleagues from using it.
Arc: Hunters Guild Gate
During a raid at an A-rank gate, Hae-In operated alongside Choi Jong-In and other members, securing most of the dungeon. Her meeting with Sung Jinwoo triggered her suspicions due to the strangeness of his aura, despite his apparent E-rank status. Drawn by the mystery, she investigated through the Korean Hunters Association, where information was confidential.
Later, on her days off, she saw Jinwoo substitute as a porter in an A-rank gate area. Curious, she joined a mission as a miner and witnessed his incredible abilities against boss Kargalgan. Despite doubts, her admiration for his power grew.
Arc: Jeju Island
Preparing to assault a major threat on Jeju, Hae-In trained hard with S-rank hunters, demonstrating perfect sword mastery in simulations. On the island, she showed remarkable courage fighting elite guards and contributing to the Queen Ant's defeat.
During the fight against the Ant King, her unique mana affinity caused her severe pain, putting her in grave danger. Thanks to Sung Jinwoo and his Shadows, she narrowly survived, further earning her guild’s trust.
Arc: Recruitment
Following these events, Hae-In left the prestigious Hunters Guild to join the famous Sung Jinwoo, the renowned solo player. Motivated by deep admiration and budding feelings for Jinwoo, she accepted any penalties involved with the move, despite initial reluctance from Jinwoo himself.
In a training duel against Jinwoo’s Shadows, specifically Igris and Beru, she displayed impressive tenacity and notable combat improvement.
Arc: Double Dungeon & Monarchs’ War
During the Double Dungeon expedition, Hae-In faced a formidable adversary, the Architect, whose attacks bested hers with ease. Later, during the Monarchs’ War, she shared moments of camaraderie with Jinwoo while remaining a determined and respected combatant on the battlefield.
Epilogue
After battles with the Monarchs and the reactivation of the Reincarnation Cup, Cha Hae-In lost memories relating to her hunter life. Nevertheless, her deep connection with Sung Jinwoo endures, paving the way for a promising future in which their destinies remain inextricably linked.
During her youth as an athlete, despite a leg injury during the preliminaries, Hae-In met Sung Jinwoo for the first time. Although she later suffered amnesia, her sensitivity to mana remained strong, reflected in a softer aura after Jinwoo tended to her. Their relationship blossomed into marriage and the birth of their son, Sung Suho.
